Welcome

20 May 2012

The Noad offers a charming and luxurious place to stay.

It is the perfect destination for a relaxing short break.

This newly renovated historic tudor hall (later extended into a farmhouse) combines medieval architecture with contemporary comforts and offers spectacular views of the Herefordshire countryside.

Located just off the main road (A417) and down a private driveway, it is approximately 1½ miles from Ledbury and Junction 2 of the M50.

Please note the hotel is now reserved for exclusive use by English Shire Breaks.

Latest - End of summer round up

The Swifts and Swallows have done well again this year. The swifts left us in early August as suddenly as always; one day they are flying around, the next the young have taken to the air and immediately leave to have an independant life, followed at the same time by the parents. The swallows on the other hand continue to feed their young after they are flying and continue to remain in the area gathering on the overhead wires and roofs before flying off to Africa. Swallows have two or three broods during the summer with the older syblings helping with feeding the later broods. We started with one adult pair about six to seven years ago and we counted at least 150 gathering at various times preparing for their long migration. About 30-40 are still with us.

We also had a pair of stoats living in our out buildings successfully bringing up a family of three young stoats which could be seen running around our wood pile and the surrounding fields. Autumn is nearly with us now and our resident owls can be heard with their ghostly screechs and hoots late in the evening and at night.
